Bookworm Theatre Group allows children of all characters to explore their imaginations, build their confidence, develop their creativity and relish in their suspension of disbelief in a safe and fun environment.

Each class focuses on a book-led approach to theatre; using books to encourage the children to explore and expand their imaginations, taking them on a creative journey, and allowing them to let their dreams become a theatrical reality.

Unlike other theatre groups, that may focus more on singing, dancing and musical theatre skills; this new and innovative approach to drama for young people allows them, through play, interaction and improvisation, to discover the skills of acting in a truly natural way.

Encouraging them to express themselves in whatever way suits them, creates a greater freedom, and without realising it, they develop skills as performers, writers and even directors.

The strong emphasis on books helps broaden their minds, their motivation to read flourishes, and a love for literature, and how life changing it can be is established.

Through teamwork they build on important social skills such as listening, concentration, & self confidence, generating well rounded, grounded young performers.

Mae “Bookworm Theatre Group” yn caniatau plant o bob cymeriad i ymchwilio eu dychymyg, i fagu hyder, i ddatblygu creadigrwydd ac i herio sefyllfaoedd dydd i ddydd mewn amglychedd diogel a llawn hwyl.
Bydd pob dosbarth yn ffocysu ar ymagwedd a arweinir gan lyfr a fydd yn arwain at theatr. Mae’r defnydd o lyfrau yn annog plant i ymchwilio at ehangu eu dychymyg, yn eu cludo ar daith ddychmygol ac yn caniatau i’w breuddwydion i droi yn realiti theatrig.

Yn wahanol i grwpiau theatr eraill sy’n ffocysu ar ganu, dawnsio a sgiliau theatr cerdd, mae’r dull newydd ac arloesol yma o ddysgu drama yn caniatau pobl ifanc i ddysgu trwy chwarae, rhyngweithio ac adeiladu er mwyn darganfod sgiliau actio mewn dull naturiol.
Mae’r pwyslais ar annog plant i fynegi eu hunain mewn dull sy’n addas i’r unigolyn sy’n creu mwy o ryddid a heb sylwi, maent yn datblygu sgiliau fel perfformwyr, awduron a chyfarwyddwyr. Mae’r pwyslais amlwg ar lyfrau yn ehangu’r meddwl, yn rhoi cymhelliant i ddarllen a charu llenyddiaeth sy’n arwain at newid agwedd yr unigolyn am byth! Bydd cyfle cyson i’r plant weithio fel tîm sy’n datblygu sgiliau cymdeithasol pwysig fel gwrando, canolbwyntio a magu hunan hyder.
O ganlyniad, bydd y plant yn tyfu i fod yn berfformwyr effeithiol.
